Jerard bought his first fixer-upper in 2005 and did an extensive renovation and addition, having completed the majority of the work himself at that time.

Shortly after graduating from San Diego State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance, he left southern California and it’s beautiful weather behind, and moved to Charlotte, NC. There he acquired and held a North Carolina real estate agent license, and was active for a period of time while he built financial models and did analysis of undervalued rental properties that he and his team acquired and managed. During this time he was simultaneously working in banking and markets in various credit, trading, risk, and analysis positions for a 10 year period at large banks and boutique investment firms.

When he’s not working on a loan, in his down time he enjoys working with his hands doing projects building items out of metal, concrete, or wood, and being outdoors with his family hiking, biking, or getting muddy with something that has a motor attached.
